this is all i have done for my evo 9 mr....

MY BASE LINE RAN 250WHP (ONLY 20 psi)--I wanted to get safe tune!
AFTER TUNE RAN 295WHP (ONLY 20 psi) AT THE DYNO SHOP ON DYNO DYNAMIC .

there is almost 50WHp difference before and after the tune.
and i could definitly feel the big difference...it pulls like train~ i love the feeling how it pulls. before the tune was like driving civic.

AL is the man~

funny how u were basically blaming AL for blowing your evo 8 motor and now he's the man.

Tomorrow that i am going to the Shop again to install more parts on the car. It is estimated that i will pass 350whp on the same boost pressure that i got the 337whp.

I will also ask Jimmy to explain to me the whole dyno dynamics #s to Dynojet #s to see what the hell is going on and also to convert the final dynosheet of tomorrow to Dynojet...

This is going to be the second major mods that i will do on the car with the third part to come in March. After Part three of my mods i will ask Al to tune again. Trully hes a great tuner....

i've seen is plenty of dynojet numbers from westcoast tuners, and decent track numbers. east coast tuners have lower reading dynos, but then you see the track times and all of a sudden everyone starts questioning why east coast cars are so fast...

my evo 9 pulls hard. my butt dyno feels like same as evo8 with 330whp at pruven perfomance. which is equal to 300whp at the shop dyno.
so i would say its about same...

and one thing i missed is the methanol.
i want to put methanol kit on my evo9 but unless i have beefed up internals. i will not put it on......i missed the methanol~ help~~~~ just cant resist the temptation ~

personally i wouldn't install a meth kit under any circumstances...

i prefer to run my car on a race gas mix if i want more boost than 25psi and not worry about clogged jets, pump failures, empty meth bottles etc etc...

i recently found a pump that has 110 octane gas (Citgo race gas) and if i do a 40/60 (racegas/93) octane mix i get 100 octane which is plenty even for 30psi...

Me too, I would stay away from meth under any cercumstances. Much safer with race gas or 104 unleaded, which I use for when I race.

An hour ago i learned that a Citgo gas station VERY close to me is bringing 100 Octane leaded pump gas around April. The insane part of it is that the proce of the gas is around 4 dollars per gallon!!!!!!!!

I guess i will be using it on a permanent basis.... !!!

I think its so funny when people talk smack about the 8. The 8 and 9 are the same damn chassis (except for the aluminum roof maybe =). As soon as parts for the 9 get a little cheaper, there are going to be alot of 8 -> 9 conversions (ecu, wiring harness, mivec heads, acd transfercase, etc.). On the highly modified Evo's (450-600HP +), I don't think things like the ACD, or MIVEC are going to really make any type of difference in terms autoX or lap times.

flash

Flash doesn't seem to bad. Got mine done today, my baseline was 317/282. My tune was for 24 though not 20.

If you check an other thread about a wastegate install you will see my new numbers with currently an untuned motor...

i will retune with Big Al when i get my randomtech cat (the UR ceramic unit that i have is no good) and my nisei piping kit...

even untuned made 344whp on the Dyno Dynamics at 23psi spike. At 25psi made 355whp but i didn't print the dynosheet because its not how i drive the car daily...
