Considering trading in Evolution 8 so that i can get a 350z and building it up
The 350Z probably has a better resale value than the EVO. Nop matter what the Z haters say in these forums, it is a really nice car, very popular. Also, it handles and runs quite well. You'll not get the mad power as you can with the EVO, but if you don't want to modify it a lot, it is probably a good choice. It depends on what you want

All kidding aside, the 350Z and the EVO weight practically the same and the power from the V6 is quite comparable to the EVO in stock form (at least on paper).
The Z is definately a nice car, but it WILL feel slow after the Evo.
It handles damn good. The people saying it doesn't either a) never drove one or b) can't drive RWD for ****.
Evo is MUCH more mod friendly... expect to pay big bucks to mod the Z. Once you FI and build the motor, the Z easily has much more mod potential than an Evo (3.5 V6 vs 2.0 I4... do the math). They have insane torque curves, and put down just as much torque as horsepower (some kits put out ~100 more WTQ than WHP). Of course, you'll be looking at spending over $15k.
The Z (with stock tires) SUCKS in rain/snow. If you get a lot of this, stick with the Evo.
The Z looks ****ing HOT. But then again, so does the Evo.
Anyways, let me know if you want REAL answers to your questions.

1993 Z32 twin turbo FTW! i so miss that car! big power, also big money pit. nissan also has electrical problems after time. still a good car, i haven't driven the 350 but it's cool for some. I love my cheapass evo!
The 350z was 3 seconds slower than the VIII around Top Gear's short track. That's a pretty big difference. It's the difference between a stock VIII and a Gallardo. I'd imagine there'd be an even bigger difference between the 350z and the IX.
But I guess the Stig can't drive RWD

Where the hell do you get your information from? They weigh in LESS than Evo's do. The only one's that I can see weighing that much is a show-ho one or a vert... which isn't even that heavy.

I am suprised how many people either prefer the Evo or like me sold their Z for the Evo.
Basically is the modern day girl/old lady car better known as the Eclipse.
