If you are going to get a G35, pitch in just a few grand and get the real deal BMW 335I.

A BMW 335i makes circles around a G35.

And where the hell do you get your info from? The 350 Z is around 150 lbs. heavier than a regular Evo IX: Evo weighs 3,220 lbs vs. Z's 3,370 lbs. (Road & Track, Dec 06, 12 best cars under 30k). I could give you more curb weight figures from Car and Driver, SCC, R&T, etc...they all throw similar numbers between them.

+1

I'm not a big fan of Z cars. I know a handful of guys that went from Z to Evo, and there has to be a reason to explain that. However we cannot miss the fact that the Z won both Road & Track's 12 Best Cars Under 30k and C&D's Lightning Lap Group 1. And there was some interesting (I'd say "disturbing") results about the Lightning Lap test at the Virginia International Raceway track: the Z was 1 second faster than the Evo IX MR. mmmm...are you guys talking about the same "slow" and "handles-like-a-pig" 350Z?

dude, its a sexy car and all. but for the amount you spending hooking that z or g up it would be alot compared to getting the evo up to that level. but anyways if your mind is made up, then go for it and good luck

wow, you have no idea how much more potential an evo has compared to 350z. if you put $5000 on an evo vs a 350, the power difference will be rediculus, of course the evo being better.

oh, i forgot to mention, my buddy has a 04 350z, we both switched cars and i wasn't really feelin the z very much, it felt very heavy and acceleration was definately nowhere close to my evo. when he got off my evo, his first sentence was, wow that's fast!!, by the way, i only had turboback exhaust on it......

I've driven an 04 350Z and although it may be nice, the EVO to me is a much better car on a daily driven basis.

Z is nice but if its over evo, I would drive evo. Z has lots potentials but you gotta put some $ on it.
