I like the Forge part a lot, its very high quality in look and feel, polished billet held together with allen bolt hardware. Much nicer than the stock chintzy piece. They have just the one recirculating valve for the Evo. As for performance, boost "seems" to hold better at high RPMs, and when it dumps it is louder and faster than the stock one. Waiting for the intake to really hear it work.

if it doesnt fit perfectly... DONT put it on... thats the way i think... therefore i have the patience... hks is still road testing their ss bo... they are having minor problems bcuz the evo vii right side compared to our left side steering wheel ... something to do with the way it fits.... they said give them about 3 more weeks and call back... its best to get the simple BOLT ons than custom fitting bcuz bolt ons for our exact make / model car fit perfectly without ****ing with it therefore well be the best... that is my oponion of course.... i just have a fear with custom fits... somewhere there will be pressure leakage etc... anyways as for the question im going with the hks SS bo once the kit comes out.... and im going with AEM cold air V2 for intake... both are in production for our cars and should b out real soon

I agree. Sounds like the Heinz ketchup theory is a smart bet here.

QAT-R, Forge Motorsport is local to me, so I drove over to their Orlando shop and picked it up. Install involves loosening the 2 hose clamps, unplugging the vacuum line, removing the stock one and dropping in the Forge. Very easy, and a direct replacement.

When installing the forge bov, which side points upward? When I installed mine with the vacuum hose pointing towards the engine, the car would squeal on release. then i pointed it upwards and it sounded perfectly normal? Since both openings are the same size, it seems like it can fit on either way.

The outlet of the BOV should be pointed down.. The base of the BOV should be pointer toward the IC piping..

So it seems to go in sideways..

I, too, have the Forge recirc.-BOV. If you put on like the factory BOV, it does make that squeak noise.

Looking at their UK site, it mentions that this type of BOV design can be put in EITHER way, so there really is no wrong way of putting it in. Some have mentioned that if the nipple is pointing upwards, there is no noise.

Those of you who have the valve, double check the inside piston/ rod area. Mine seems to have blown red grease all over the inside. I'm still waiting for a response from Forge about this. I think one of the seals let go.

Concerning the Forge Recirc BOV, is their better sound? Loud? I'm assuming if I'm looking for the the loud whoosh sound I'd better go with VTA, but I don't want the CEL to come one so that's why I'm looking for the best Recirc BOV on the market. Can some of the owners of this BOV leave some comments?
