What BOV and Intake are you using?

What type of BOV and intake is everyone using???

Where did you order them from??

Im looking for an intake and I've been looking at the RMR but does anyone know of any othersthat come with the adapter and the mounting bracket???

As for the BOV what do we need to install these on our evo's?? adapter kit? what about the recirculation kits??

ANy help would be appreciated..

As far as intakes ... RMR and Buscher seem to be popular. Also, the HKS suction kit has been a big seller. Plenty of places to buy so I refuse to advertise for anyone in particular in regard to intakes. As for myself ... I chose to go with a simple RalliArt drop-in filter because I believe that larger gains can be achieved elsewhere ... i.e., downpipe, cat-replacement pipe, exhaust, boost controller, and engine mgmt, etc. Just my opinion ...

As far as BOV's .... there aren't many available that are a custom fit for the U.S. 8 yet ... however, I'm pretty sure that Pruven Performance has a custom BOV available (looks like a GReddy .

Eclipse 2g BOV kits fit the EVO 8, the Greddy is the best fit (from what I hear) and there are a few HKS SSQV kits for the EVO 8.

I will be getting the Greddy Type-S with the Eclipse 2g BOV KIT and the Buschur Racing Intake.

LOL....he didnt have problems per se......he was running VTA so it would stall sometimes. Get a recirclulation kit and you wont notice anything. Any 2G eclipse flange "kit" would work. I can get good prices on the HKS SSBOV....i'm waiting on the prices from my friend. I'm thinking less than 275 for everything (recirc kit, flange, BOV)...that's about $100 off retail.

I was told by my Mits dealer that even an open air element would void your warrenty because it wasnt what Mits had on the evo8 to make it run at its optimum level.

So thats a little advice I can give you if you like to have your warrenty for the full 5 yr. 60,000 miles.

Or call your dealer and speak with the service manager.

I just ordered a KN drop in filter,,, should be ok with that.

coolguy let me know when you get the prices I might be interested.....

As far as the voiding of the warrranty I know that everyone is conceredn about it....but I would ask you service manager what he will and wil lnto allow ........

in addition there is a law somewhere that states what dealers can void a warranty for......MItsu and other dealers Just cant aribtrarily void warranty's for no reason... there has to be justifiable cause the the part/parts could have or will cause damage to the car.... and then only that part/and the related damaged parts can be voided from your warrranty..... IE when my aircondidtioner ceases to workk,,, they cant say they wont fix it due to moddified breaks,....

Ill try and find the snippit its been a long time but ill see if i can find it....

my dealer doesnt mind the rmr intake kit for warranty because we used to actually sell those installed on oz lancers, www.rmrproducts.com works through dealers, look into that you might be best off that route, by the way, when you switch just to an open air filament, you will be able to hear your stock bov so see if that fits your taste, if you want louder, go for the greddy it will allow your car to operate the best and just use that 2g install kit that will alow you to install it on the evo too....

I was thinking about the RMR kit but the only problem with that is the fact that they wont ship directly to me..... the dealer wants me to pay for shipping to them and then to ship to me...Im, not about to pay 150+ for a filter. Thats rediculous especially when they advertise at 115.00

I called the mitsu dealer and they were unsure if they could get it in a timely manner, they said maybee three weeks..

I was thinking about the blitz timer and the RMR intake and maybee a greddy or HKS for the BOV .. Ive had both on my GST and I like the sound of both... quite a quandry huh??

Very true...when I spoke with Rhys Millen he told me he's working closely with Mitsu to allow dealers to sell his parts. He said they are working on having them warranty OK.

Intake : HKS racing suction pipe w/ DD 200mm mushroom style filter (yellow)
BOV: HKS SSQV II (racing) looks different than regular also rated for boost over 2.0 bar

Thinking about changing the filter to HKS metal though (cone style) PEACE

Hey 2 Cool,

How do you like your forge BOV? any problems at all? and I think they have a couple so which one did you get? Any additional info would be great...

Oh and btw does it sound louder than stock?

Thanks in advance, I need to make a decision on which BOV I want...
