help: trunk and lock swap

i found somebody to swap trunks with me! so i was searching and i came up with nothing. how do we do it . anyone have instructions as to how to remove the trunk and swap lock mechanisms? any help would be greatly apreciated


we will be doing this at his house and he has no tools.. so what tools do we need exactly?

I would just "eye ball" it.. look how the lock is set then experiment..
best way to learn is to do it yourself.

Dude just unbolt it then you will see how the lock mechanism comes apart its not that hard

if i remember correctly, you will need:

ratchet
10mm socket
needlenose pliers - to pull locking pin off of the key lock
zip ties - to tie down any loose wires

someone correct me if i'm wrong, but i think thats it...

its about right! if you do it right you dont need the zip ties.Just do not brake those fasteners.you have to push it both side at the tip , and they will come out easy.
