OK...so back in 2003 my cars first owner bought an AEM intake for my Evo...and i kept it becuase i knew AEM would soon make it smog legal and then my car would be 100% legit in the great state of CA (kinda)
well the problem is, is that i dont have the reciept for the intake and AEM wont let me send them a pic of the intake showing it is an 03 intake, because they cant tell the difference between 03 and 04. they said i have to buy a whole new intake.

How can i get the carb sticker, legally, for my 03 evolution 8 intake without buying a whole new intake?

I dont understand why they will not send it to you anyway. What is the big deal and why do you have to buy a new intake just to get the sticker?

 

yeah i dont understand either...if they cant tell the difference...neither will the ref...and it is OBVIOUSLY an AEM intake...

 

Thats messed up, I would send some emails to the higher ups at AEM

 

becouse those stickers suppos to be, make your intake 100% street legal.
it's not a "my son is honor student" type sticker...

 

I saved my sticker from when I was retarded enough to own a Typhoon, so now my speed density intake is CA legal (as far as the cops can tell). My car sounds like a V8 at idle, yet the cops can never find anything that looks out of place. I love it. After the first referee ticket, I got a little smarter. LOL.

 

I'm sure someone has one of these around somewhere.. I still have the one from my K&N Typhoon Intake..
