IX things that suck compared to the VIII
With that paticular case in mind, it remains to be seen whether or not the X is better than the VIII and IX. IMHO, it won't be...

What kind of complaint is this, lol? Do you get locked in your car? Can't figure out if its unlocked? Maybe Mitsu didn't get cheap, instead they hastly gave more credit to the potential customer to figure those things out.
Since I got such a good deal on Noize's VIII I have considered the lsds but other than that I still like the I/C sprayer and other standards on the VIII's. After driving the stock IX I did like the smoother power band (MIVEC or smaller turbo) and didn't have enough seat time to notice the gearing differences.
Noize depending on how busy I am I might roll down to dyno4mance but have no need to get on the rollers.

For those of you who are complaining about mpg of your evo...go ahead and just trade it for Toyota Prius lol. More power(when you modified it) means more gas! there is no such thing as more power less gas when you start mods with your engine. lol

Dude, I drive only freeway, and hell if I can stretch it to 260 miles per tank o' gas.
And that's with me trying my freaking hardest to keep revs under 3000 so the turbo's not screaming the whole way.
I hate it when these "hot shots" go screaming past with their ricers at 90 MPH... man, I don't race on the highway... for me, it's a battle for conservation.
How are you guys getting close to 100 miles more per tank???

OK, I always heard how the IX is so much better than the VIII. I bought into the hype. Don't get me wrong, I love my new car, but there are some things my 03 had that I really, REALLY miss. My IX is a regular base IX (GSR), so some of the things have to do with that.
1) I miss my HIDs!
2) I miss the VIII's gearing, especially 4th for acceleration.
3) I miss the 5th gear for fuel economy. My VIII made 140whp more than my IX and still got 5-6miles per gallon better than my IX.
4) The IXs are louder. I don't know if there's less sound deadening or what, but the exact same exhaust is a lot louder in the IX. Even stock to stock, the IX is louder than the VIII
Now, I can't totally hate on my new car, so here's some improvements, but they've been documented ad nauseum:
1) Mivec
2) ACD
3) Front LSD
4) Way sexier front bumper (I hated that stupid plastic triangle)
5) Nicer fabric in the interior
6) Slightly bigger stock turbo
Can you guys/gals think of any more things that you liked better about your VIII?

I had an 04 and I love the 9 way more than I did the 8. Mivec that it's one razon is louder.
