theres not much better on the evo 8's but there are a few things

8's have better wings cuz its 100% carbon fiber. 9'ls are kinf of cheep and flimsey and plastic on the sides.

03's have standard hids

03-04 have intercooler sprayers

8's have way more aftermarket support.

its real easy to get spark plugs for the 8's

and 8s have blue by you

thats about it but the 9 is the better car cuz of mivec

 

Whhat do you mean by more after market support? Cams and thats really it. Only a few good cams for the IX.

The IX have EB which is the same color as BBY

 

No dice, different shades of blue my man. Taken a second look at the EB, I made a mistake with my TB. EB owns the BBY in my eyes

I would compare the BBY closer to the smurf blue of the e-46 m3 (we all have seen a smurf or two around)
The EB is a very subtle a tad darker blue.

Yea, the only thing I consider superior on the VIII is the all carbon fiber wing. Its much sturdier than the IXs wing. Not really a big deal though. Id take a IX over an VIII.

You can get Electric Blue and ACD in an '05 Evo VIII.

any other IX owners not have the red sticker for the door lock? I've sat in a couple IX's and driven one extensively and none of them had the red sticker in the unlock position.

I don't know why the stickers aren't there...they would've cost all of 1 cent, if that, for Mitsu to put in there.

Compared to my 05 VIII, I liked the seats and the faux c/f inserts better on the IX, but the longer 4th and 5th gear are definitely appreciated on the VIII.

At the level of mods I have done/will do, the difference between the IX and VIII is negligible. Not worth to take a trade-in hit for 20whp.

 

i have no complaints with my 8 nore will i want to upgrade to a 9. only thing i honestly like is the cf like inserts on the dash. and the front bumper other then that. i dont know acd because i already have it in my car, as well as hids that i installed later on. also i argee with the guy that said if you have an 8 and went to 9 your a complete moron. i'll stick with the traditional and last 4g63 motor.

 

I didn't have an 8, but I agree the wheels suck to clean.

the wheels do suck for cleaning, but they don't look bad dirty either. A buddy of mine when he first saw my IX said he wishes the wheels on his IX were the same color because he liked the darker color of mine better. I told him it was just b/c they were dirty and he didn't believe it until he walked over and wiped off some of the brake dust

HAHA i noticed that too in my IX MR i couldnt understand why, i swore that my VIII had them, but im not positive i dont remember but i always wondered why they wernt in my IX. must save alot of weight hahahaha
