dont get an exhaust ticket more than 3 times... i would just give up after the second ticket because they charge a few hundred more than the second ticket for the third offense!!

I was with a few of my friends we got pulled over and inspected. The cop said your car sounds like a diesel truck flying past me... My friend recieved a fix-it ticket for his intake!

I'm pretty sure that is the way things stand now; unless they passed a new bill I haven't heard about. If that's the case somebody post a link... I gotta see it to believe it.

Depends on the cop entirely here...In my old car (mazdaspeed protege) I had a full 3 inch exhaust. Nassua cops didnt seem to bother me. State troopers have pulled me over for no reason other then my exhaust. No tickets just to bust my *****. Suffolk cops which seem to suck the most have pulled me over various times just for my exhuast. I got a ticket for it but you just go to court with a repair bill and its over with. Still a pain in the *** though. I was next to my friend with a really loud trans am and he revved at a cop under a bridge and the cop smiled at him mean while i get pulled over in my import while going the speed limit!

No problems here in Nevada with aftermarket exhaust. Drove my '05 STi for 2 years with invidia tbe but never got any fixing ticket. Cops seems they don't mind it whenever I see one on my side, back and in front of me. Maybe, it's because we are required to have smog check each year if the car is 1 year and older.

I thought that as long as you have the CARB (California Air Resources Board) stamps or stickers on the aftermarket parts like exhaust you are ok to go? I lived in San Diego and I used to drive an early 90's integra with DC's and AEM's mods on it. Whenever a cop stop me I just show them the CARB paperworks and the stamps on the parts then they let me go. Maybe the law changed in Cali after I moved here in Vegas, or correct me if I am wrong please.
