50 State Legal aftermarket Exhaust??
Hey guys,
I've been having some problems with cops around here, they love being d*cks. I'm on my 3rd $400 exhaust ticket after a silencer. I've been looking for an aftermarket exhaust that at least states that it passes all 50 state laws, so when I do get pulled over I can present them with proof. I've had no luck so far, could you guys help me out?

An Apexi NOIR exhaust may be something for you to consider. All black finish for a stealth appearance. A lot of guys are running that here in Cali for just that reason.

I'm sorry my friend, but technically ANY modification to your exhaust is illegal in CT. That's what the inspector told me when I asked while I was getting signed off for no front plate. I even asked if the 93dB rule applied, and he said no. So either get a HFC and Fujitsubo RM01-A or just put the stocker back on and run the QTP dp...I would do the latter if I were you.

Here in FL any modification to the exhaust is illegal. also exhaust tickets are fix-it tickets here, so if u go back to stock and show them, you dont have to pay nearly the amount on the ticket...something to look into i guess.

WORKS.
Perfect fit & finnish, it's more throughty, but not obnoxious. It's quite when you are cruising, but loud at WOT.
No one really notices it on there, as it kind of "looks" stock.

I've read the Federal Law. It is illegal to use anything but the stock exhaust.
I used to have two identical cars with identical engines except the stock exhausts were slightly different. One had a single muffler behind the diff and the other had two smaller mufflers ahead of the diff. The second design had a much shorter life (this is in the days of mild steel exhaust pipes) so I wanted to make the exhaust systems identical too by using the single muffler system on both cars. The shop wouldn't do it because they were afraid of getting busted by the Feds.
