hello i bought my evo x MR about 2 months ago and not until recently i noticed this kinda hissing noise that is constant and gets louder as rpms rise i have been searching everywhere for a answer but i just cant find one. if anyone knows where this sound is coming from please let me know i have been going crazy trying to find out. it sounds like it’s coming from one of the pulleys or where the oil cooler is. Thanks for any help

 

You may have fixed the issue by now, but from that quick video clip I'm going to guess its a boost or vacuum leak somewhere?? If you have a boost gauge definitely check the PSI during pulls

 

are you sure? i don’t feel like i’ve lost any boost it’s just been making that noise. i still have the issue

A few of the homies said it could be that pulley thats causing the issue. I rewatched the video and that may be the cause cause the sound gets louder as the camera is near it!
