Got rear-ended today.

Today on my way back home from school I got rear-ended. I was sitting in stopped traffic on the highway right behind a SUV and from out of no where BAMMMMM!!!!!!! i get rear ended. I got pushed into the SUV that was stopped in front of me. I get out to check the damage expecting the worst but the damage was minor but still you can see it and the trunk does not open. I go to check the front expecting to have some type of damage but luckly no damage. Here are some pics of the damage.

Sorry for the bad luck. Have a solid evaluation done whether you plan on filing a claim or not. I had a similar incident with similar looking damage that wound up being $2k+ in damage!

Good luck with the repairs,
CoachG

I was rear ended and currently is in process of getting a JDM bumper. If your reinforcement bar needs replacement you might actually save money by going with JDM bumper. Genuine JDM Bumper is around $700. Body + Paint for the bumper should be $600-700 + reinforcment bar is $200-300. So you could save around 200-300 by going with JDM since they already come painted. My body shop didn't want to put on the JDM bumper because of legality issue with removing the crash bar so I am installing it myself this Saturday.

sorry to hear that, When snow plow hit my car, i got pused to my friends car, I had almost same damage as you but less, same corner tho, more damage in the front, hood, valve cover, cracked radiator, lock. etc. small ****s here and there

Now i bet there is more damage in your trunk, just pop your trunk lift the carpet, and look inside.

I would pop the hood and see if there is any damage inside, if something is not pushed in. Take the front bumper off if possible and look.

Hope you get your car fixed in no time.

Sorry to hear that...but look at the bright side! Now you can go with brand new 2006 rear bumper. When my rx7 got a little hit on the front bumper, I've replaced it with imported 2002 JDM rx7 bumper and the car came out better than before the accident.
