Moving the seat 2,3 inches back? Anyone?
Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone had their seat moved back 2-3 inches from stock position? If yes how did you it? Or if anyone know a welding shop in Bay area CA who can just fabricate a new bracket. I think that is the best thing.
And i've tried HKS Kansai lowering bracket, but it is not enough it doesnt move the seat back. Ill be selling it btw if anyone is interested.
Im 6'4". So really need this done before i start going to the track.
Any input will help.
Thanks

Theres a guy on here that was making brackets to lower the seat like an inch and half or something. You could search for the thread and maybe see if he could whip somethin up for ya.
Otherwise get an aftermarket bucket with side rails and stick her wherever.

You might want to make sure that your arms are in the proper position to the steering wheel. I am 6'3" and I actually move my seat forward in autox just to get to a better steering position. Moving too far back for track might not be a good idea. Just my 2 cents.

My seats go back far enough, I just want them lower. Status Laguna's with side mounts should take care of that..

But everyone's got a different driving position that's perfect for them..

I dont know how u guys over 6'4" can heal toe properly with stock seat position? Couse my knees dont clear the steering wheel. Its fine for everyday driving but for a track its not. Im heal toeing with my heel on the brake and toe on the gas. It shouldnt be like that,i wanna do it the most comfortable and right way. Just want my knees to be under the steering wheel.
And its no for a pimp low riding position
Peace

a guy your size ought to be able to brake and gas just by side stepping both at the same time. what do they call that, rolling?
just a thought, as to the rest of it, I have no clue, I feel stupid even walking on the same side of the street as a "Big and Tall" store.

Heel toe was invented by small japense guys.. :P.
The big american guys should just "roll" like nothere said.
And you should be fine with stock seats.. The best way to tell if you are adjusted correctly is:
Sit back in your seat, put your arms forward, and have your wrist on the top of the steering wheel. If your wrist lay perfectly on the steering wheel, where your hands just reach over, then you are set.
If its not like that, then adjust the seat to where it needs to be..
Moving it back 2-3inches is just gonna be "leanin back wile drivin da evo, son".
