Help with MBC install

Here's is what I have done so far; capped off waste gate nipple, capped off hose that goes from waste gate solenoid to intercooler pipe, capped off the nipple from the intercooler pipe to waste gate solenoid, ran hose from turbo inlet to bottom of MBC, connected stock hose from waste gate solenoid to top of MBC.

My problem is that I am boosting way past 25 psi. I have tried adjusting the knob from full counterclockwise to full clockwise and I get the same high pressure. Did I miss something? Your help is appreciated.

Are the wastegate actuator and boost control solenoid the same thing?

No. Actuator is mounted to the turbo.

BC Solenoid is your stock "boost controller" so to speak and it should be hanging off your MAF harness.

If you are not using the ecu for boost control then you do not need to cap off the factory boost solenoid

Check out this thread. http://www.norcalevo.net/index.php?o...2&topic=2610.0

I used method #2 in the above thread which is different from your setup above.

Heres a thread where I asked about which method is better: http://www.norcalevo.net/index.php?o...topic=15863.15

Thanks for all your help and input. I figured the problem out. You can blame it on head space and timing. Using the diagram from above I realized that my wastegate hoses were going to the wrong places. I fixed them and went out on a test drive and after a few stops of adjusting the dial and getting it to 19 psi everything is g2g.

Chemwarrior, I bought the same BR stage 1 at the same time as you did. And I feel like I am cheating off you with all the questions that you are asking. Thanks for your post and hope I can help you out one of those days in return.

My pleasure. When are you sending in your ECU to be reflashed?
