For me, I always go with 5% cuz I'm used to it, it looks da best and the fuzz don't bother us much down here ... in regard to dark tint that is.
Sometimes in the summer, you gotta be careful you don't get your tint done at a place that sprouted up just for summer work. Go with a place that has been around for awhile, gives you a good choice of films, and gives a good warranty. $130-$200 is pretty much standard for most films from a reputable place. But then again, a lot of places will charge more based on the car. Check out www.tintdude.com. Good site for window tinting info. Also remember when you are getting upsold to "top of the line stuff" for only 20-30 bucks more, its usually to get you to spend more money. You're getting ripped off. I can get a roll of metallic film for just a few bucks more than a roll of regular dyed film.(I tint windows) Granted a fully metallic film is harder to work with so maybe you pay for the extra 5 minutes in takes to do the rear window.
I just had mine done today 215.00. But this place does super excellant work. To me its worth more to make sure its perfect. For a 4 door and the lil windows in the back and the strip on the front. For a 2 door you should pay around 150, but for a 4 door you will pay around 200 for a good job. Just my area though.
