Think about it, how close to the center of rotation is a hollow core camshaft? Do the math, and it's plain to see the only gains you'll see will be on paper.

Not trying to argue with you but if it was a gimmick why did mitsu do it in the first place? Its cheaper NOT to make hollow core cams. They did it for reduced rotational mass. Lighter cams in conjunction with the light valve train adds up.

I bought some Helix cams a while back. Took them to buschur and bought a lot of things there... They called me an hour or so after I dropped it off and said that I had two ex.. cams.

So I got a refund from gruppe-s and bought some hks cams. I have to say I am happy that it happened, because my car runs great.

wouldnt the s1 cams be comparable to like a 264/272 combo? i checked out both profiles and it seems that going with a 264/272 would be a better set up because of a longer duration and more lift in the hks

How many stock Evo cams break without doing something really stupid?

I am having my Helix V2 272 cams install on the 17th and tuned. I'll post the dyno sheet. I went with the Helix cams because I got a deal on them that I could not turn down.

well im alittle late because it says you already ordered the gsc's.... i have the v2 272's and there gears. i could not have been happier with the price that i paid and the numbers i put down. gruppe-s took really good care of me and i was very happy with there service. imo i have not seen or noticed enough eveidence that one cam performs that much better than another after all my searching (w/ a couple exceptions, dont beat me up) so i went with the deal and prayed!!!! verrrry happy and would buy em again!!!

no prob !!!! i was kinda goin off the perception (not fact) that everyone kinda copies the hks 272's.... it works so dont fix it if it ant broken, right... why pay more for a name if something else will do the job... others will dis-agree but i'm happy and you prob will be too! thats all that matters

p.s. have you ever looked at done a search on all the problems comp guys have had! they cost more that the v2's and ive benn beatin my b!tch like she dont listen and not a single problem!!!!
