The driving is undescribable. You can powerslide at 2 mph in the most controlled way could ever imagine. I love my winter evo!
Yup - did it with Blizzak's as well A ton of fun - no doubt

i drove my viii with blizzaks and the chicago weather wrecked the car.i hit a chunk of concrete in the snow that a plow tore up and bent my wheel. someone hit me in the lot at work. the salt is no good for the ****ty mitsu paint. the car is sitting in my dad's back garage until april. i do have a 1g that i drive now in the winter. i still have awd and turbo until april to cure my jones. just be careful doing donuts in the snow it's bad for your difs.

I drive it every weekend if the weather is good and the roads are clean. I have my MKV GTI as DD year round.

Garaged unless the roads are clean and there is no salt, sand, or water in general. Was planning on going to DSG today to have it dynoed but black ice everywhere last night caused them to lay down salt and sand everywhere.

We don't get snow around here just rain. I don't drive the evo in any kind of weather I don't have to that is what the company car is for I have to drive it everyday for work anyway so the evo says showroom. I bought the evo to have fun with and it is nice not spoiling the fun with the daily routine and aggravation of the other bad drivers out there.

Yes it is company car. It is comfortable has a bunch of little gidgets to play with I can drive it where ever I want and I have no financial responsibly for it. Plus it is funny how it will accelerate just as good as any civic, accord or suv out there.

One of the "practical" reasons for me to buy this car was the fact that it could be driven in the snow.

I've done the "two cars" thing before when I had my TVR, and I found it a pain unless you have a 3+ car garage. (One way or another, you're brushing off and shoveling out of snow )

Anyway, why deny yourself some fun in the snow

Mine is a snow monster... I've power coated the rims so the salt doesn't eat them and I've undercoated the car with POR 15 and rubberized paint.

When it snows it's the only time I can drift the car around like a pro.. LOL I also have an Avalanche but it's lots more fun to drive the Evo.

In the summer I pop the Kosei rims on and cruise... But there's no reason to keep an Evo indoors from the snow.
