Most of you guys confound me. Not driving my Evo for months is nearly the equivalent of not having sex with my girlfriend for months.

 

i garaged mine...only because i was deployed...i brought it out as soon as i got back...and all the snow has been a blast...if you havent driven your evo in the snow you need to at least once its too much fun

Drove my evo the first year in the snow with winter tires and didn't like the lock up I would get on the breaks. The last two years it has sat in my garage away from the sh*ty Ohio weather and roads. What kind of insurance do the guys have that store their's for the winter, and monthly payments roughly? Is it insured under "Recreation vehicle"?

My car has only been driven once since october 31st and that was about 10 miles on christmas eve. I am getting the itch to take it out though its killing me

 

I usually garage mine all winter as I've got a truck that works fine in the snow. Tomorrow I take it out of storage and driving it home will be the first snow it's ever seen.

 

cars been in the garage since october 15th
i took it out today to wash it and put it right back in

 

mine is hibernating as well, save on insurance,gas,alky,salt damage. plus i didnt have to get winter wheels/tires

 

shes been sleeping since november. havent driven it since. cant wait till its nice and warm out. its not the snow its the salt that is soo bad for your car. if you saw what it does to the undercarriage of your car you wouldnt be driving in the snow either.

Screw that. I plan to minimize corrosion as much as possible. No winter driving for me. Chicago is excessive with the salt application. 2 winters and I haven’t driven the EVO or the STI, it also never saw the winter.

 

Too bad... You're missing a ton of fun. POR-15 is a bare second to Rhino lining or Powder coating a chassis.

But hey... snow isn't for everyone. Some folks don't even want to get their cars dirty

 

Thats funny how many garage their Evo's during the winter. I purchased my Evo to be driven in poor weather conditions

Once the weather gets better (April / May), I will be garaging my Evo for the summer (except track events) and start driving my NSX again.

I must admit, I love driving the Evo more than the NSX

 

I hear that... considering we get about 3 months of good weather here in upstate NY(if we're lucky) I'd go nuts looking at my car sit in the garage.
