Video - Testing the Bushur exhaust with test pipe and bullet muffler

I shot some video today after finishing my install. The current mods are:

TurboXS intake
MBC set at 21psi
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
Ebay 02 housing
Buschur Racing TBE with test pipe and bullet muffler
my own tune

I have an on going thread over here where I'm detailing every step of my upgrade path: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=246434

Not bad. Maybe a little on the loud side. Does it drone on the freeway at 80mph?

2-3k is reasonable but ~ 4k it's getting loud but I can live with it if it means more power.

keep in mind that my camera was mounted in the back seat so it might be a little louder there.

I've been thinking about trying out this setup from RRE...

http://www.norcalevo.net/forum/index...c,15716.0.html

I've already put sound deadening in the trunk and am running a pretty conservative RSR ExMag cat-back exhaust but with the DP and test pipe I'm fighting an uphill battle.

thats what my exhaust sounded like new from buschur.

I am not gonna lie, while watching the video I was thinking about your camera getting stolen sitting there on the side of the road. I was also waiting for you to have to do a 3 point turn to turn around at the end.

The car sounds good!

haha yeah I was definately thinking about seeing a video of my camera being stolen posted somewhere. When I did the flyby run I was at an industrial park that's closed on Sundays.

it's pretty simple really.. what I do is put my camera on my tripod and keep the legs as short as they'll go and place it in the middle of the back seats. Then I extend the front leg until it touches the floorboard and presses the handle of the tripod into the back of the seat. Then I strap it in with a seatbelt.

i think it might have to do with the IX sound deadening??? i have full catless AMS on my VIII. AMS is reasonably loud but not over the top, deep tone to it, great exhaust. i could barely hear it on the inside of the car.

i bought a IX in october and have full catless turbo XS RFL TI on it. while the exhaust has a different tone than AMS (more of a deep consistant rumble, compared to a little raspier AMS) it is about the same volume on the outside. the cabin of my car is wayyyy louder though than the VIII. there is no drone and i like the turbo XS, but its way louder on the inside, perhaps due to IX sound deadening?? i dont know, food for thought.
