I bought a wrecked EVO IX :(

Here is the deal. They don't have to announce previous damage if it wasn't announced to them (auction). If it was a trade-in then they should have seen the paintwork a mile away. We would never buy a car for that kind of money that has been wrecked. If they didn't see the previous damage there are only 2 sources to see if it had been wrecked, Vincheck and Carfax, neither one of them are even close to being perfect. Good luck with everything and let us know what happens.

Regarding Carfax... sometimes accidents do not appear. This could be due to several reasons:
1. Accident was not reported to police
2. State DMV does not release reports to carfax
3. Body shop does not release reports to carfax
There could be a multitude of other reasons why accidents don't show, so going by a Carfax statement alone is not the smartest thing to do.

That dealership probably only sells damaged vehicles. If you bought a G35 and it was wrecked why wouldnt you check if the EVO was in an accident? What they do is get damaged vehicles and fix them so they can sell. Not a good look.
