Rear ended

Well I see threads everyday about Evos in accidents and now its finally happened to me. Some douche bag slamed on his brakes a couple cars in front of me and basicly the rx-7 behind me couldnt stop in time. We were going about 40mph but looks like I will have to replace part of the exhaust and get a new bumper. The exhaust was bent into the driveshaft so now I am riding around with just a downpipe .

If anyone knows where to get jdm evo 9 bumpers for cheap (painted or not) let me know. All the ones I have seen when searching are in the $700 plus range. Ill try to get some pics if I can find someone to lend me a camera.

I don't know if he is happy. I would love to have a free JDM Bumper, but I would rather have my car not hit! To me it would never be the same.

Wing was off, and I am def not happy just trying to make positive out of a bad situation. I am a laidback person and try not to get stressed out about things that can be easily fixed.

That sucks. The jdm bumpers do look good but if you get rear ended again you will probably have more damage. Just my 2 cents.

I was rear ended and got the JDM bumper for 699 from SpeedElement.
But you'll probably get money for crash beam from Insurance anyways which is like $300 for part only.
Because you don't/can't have crash beam for JDM bumper, so I bet it would save you money even with 700 bumper.

Let me guess, this was on 355 (rockville pike)? I've been rear ended 3 different times (not in the Evo) on that damn road, always when it was raining. ARGH!

haha 355 is a crappy *** road but no I am in illinois at college at this time so it wasn't there

and yes it was an FD rx-7 and was lowered which basicly made his head light hit my exhaust

I will be contacting insurance 2marrow so hopefully everything gets worked out, just found out a twist to the story tho...the Rx-7 driver has a suspended license
