I got my sensor at Kragen Auto Parts...the package includes an install kit so no soldering needed...make sure you get the bosch sensor as its a denso sensor that comes stock on the car...but you can use the stock harness to plug it all in....and the installation is EASY....they are included in the package...

This is the only part I could find.. http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductL...=Oxygen+Sensor
I just got my MR from Sport Mitsu (idiots) in Orlando. My odometer is saying 168 miles and I've got about 1/4 left. I actually thought I'd get better mileage but if O can change out the O2 sensor and make it better than cool.

That is the rear sensor.

Did the Bosch one have this posi-lock type connector?

Was this the actual sensor? (Part number 15730)

for better gas mileage
no boost
skip gears 1 to 3 to 5th
35mph in 5th gear.

don't know why thats so hard. i agrees 30+ mpg is unbelievable.
I can hit the 25mpg easily. i do 220miles filling up 10 gallons regularly.
I can never stay out of boost the whole tank.

It sucks that there is no real evidence behind his claims.

I wonder if the gallons of racegas has hurt or weaken our o2 sensors readouts?

I havent tried the 1 to 3 to 5th gear shifting. I think I'll test that next. Also I always shift to 5th after 35 mph when cruising.

Leaded gas will hurt the o2 sensor, but higher octane (non leaded) race gas wont.

I made that comment because my tune was off. My car was tuned for more boost than what I was running. We didn't notice this til we put it back on the dyno. It is now tuned correctly and instead of 23-25mpg I'm now getting 27-28mpg. Any more questions?

Yes, but what does tuning have to do with normal driving? And I say this with the assumption that normal driving = staying out of boost day to day driving. Not driving like you stole it, as some people might do.

When people tune, they tune the car while the acceleration pedal is pressed down to WOT. So that is when your accelerating hard. But normal driving we have the o2 sensor and maf readings that the ecu uses to keep an a/f ratio of around 14.7 (open loop) . Now how does boosting more psi when going WOT or part throttle boost affect driving around staying off of boost?

Only thing I can make of this is, your normal part of daily driving is not affected but you probably do a lot of spirited driving. And since you got a better tune, the tuned spirited driving mixed into the out of boost driving helped raise your MPG's. In other words racing your car with a good/better tune results in better MPG's than a stock tune or bad tune. (to a certain degree)

Did any one ever expiriment with spark plug gap size and mpg's?

Well after reading here and there, and if I'm not mistaken the stock spark plug gap size is .025 ?...

Well, isn't that a bit small for only 19 psi max? Any one try out a larger gap size, maybe .035?

I've read that the general rule of the correct gap size is to start with a slightly larger gap, and slowly regap smaller in increment sof .002 until your car does not get any more spark blow out and runs fine.

Any ideas?

I usually get about 18mpg city an highway, but tell me why I get higher mpg when I beat on my car. Last we I filled my car and a bunch of us went out cruising/racing, and I burned through the tank that night and the next after noon, and got slightly less than 20mpg and that was at 1.5bars (22.05psi) on the gay *** stock gauge in my car.

Now will getting a new O2 sensor really improve my mpg (Bosch Oxygen Sensor)? And what are people paying for these?

Not sure, maybe the stock o2 sensor sucks!

So is the Part number 15730 the correct sensor for our car?

Hmm let me see with my 03 evo, 3.5 TBE,green, revolver cams, aem and 750 inj and such I drove to see Buschur and got 28mpg doing 80 all the way down. I know Curt Brown got some silly gas milage on the highway like around 30 and we know how that guy drives. It's possible
