Around here all I see at dealer lots are reds and blacks. I like the yellow, it is definately a fast color. It is difficult to find yellow in this area (Atlanta) though.

if it was MORE of a bright vivid yellow, and less of a "mustard" yellow I think it would sell much better... and I likely would have bought it instead of white

I really like the BRIGHT yellows of some cars, the bright cheery Toyota yellow they put on their cars immediately comes to mind, but Mitsu chose a mustardy yellow that I don't like much...

to each their own though, but people generally vote with their wallets

It's no where near as bad as the WRX yellow or the first bug yellow. Its a fine line between pastel yellow and school bus yellow. All opinion though on likings.

My preference was black or yellow

I think red is the ugliest color to get.

Yeah. The WRX yellow is so blah. It looks washed out. If a car is gonna be yellow, it's got to be YELLOW! Bright and screming "I'm fast, look at me!"

I did not want my business associates thinking they where getting in a yellow ricer.
I think the silver is the classiest color.
It also hides dirt well.

When I think of yellow I think of a yellow Barretta I once saw.

You need to spend $100000+ to make yellow look good.(exotic cars)

Yellow is nice for about 5 minutes after that it gets old and is a magnet for ******(police and punks attracted to the yellow glare) not chicks.

Color preferences vary by region too. If you live in a conservative area (like parts of NJ are), the more extroverted car colors, red/yellow/blue, won't sell as well as the more muted ones silver/white/black.

There is a reason that Silver is the most popular car color....and it's not necessarially because it looks cool. It's because it is understated, conservative and blends into the background well.

Yellow is a color that polarizes people. You either love yellow cars or you absolutely hate them.

All the other conventional colors, while nice also, appeal to a larger mass audience.

But with certain cars, like the Evo's, Type R's and Porsches, having an unconventional color doesn't necessarially affect the resale value....because you are selling to enthusiasts who want the car for its capabilities (not it's paint scheme). They aren't like the normal work-a-day housewives and non enthusiasts who just "Want a blue car" and are more concerned about the color than anything else.....and it because of the non enthusiasts that you can't get Camry's (amongst other brands of boring automotive appliances)in any bright hues.

SC~ who has a yellow Evo....but never blended well into crowds anyway!

I haven't even seen a yellow Evo at any of the dealers in my area. I know of 8 or so Evo owners in my area and none of them are yellow. It is a rare color in my area for some reason.

I agree with Lightsped. There are tons of Red ones in the Atlanta area.

I want white badly. Red i would get only if they offered me a heck of a deal. Still want white though.

the yellow and the blue look really cool.... I chose silver, it is just a little more "grown up"... but I think a few yrs ago it woulda been yellow or blue.... with a ghetto queen by my side (instead of my lovely wife).
