explain how window works
i tried to figure out what is wrong with the window on the passanger side but im out of it. i bought a new switch it did not work. tested the motor, it is fine. Thought it was a ground because when holding the button and hitting the door it would go up(its definitly not the motor) but the switch on driver side works and makes window go up. Are there seperate grounds. Could it be the main driver switch does it need to work with the passanger side switch. thank you

How did you test the motor?
Sounds like the motor to me. If you got the window to go up when you slammed the door, that tells me 2 things. One, the switch works. Two, the circuit is complete.

sounds like the passenger side switch has a loose connection in the switch
because the driver side switch makes it work, so 1, motor not at fault. 2, fault must be in pass side wire loom or switch.
millions of windows out there and yours doesn't work.... fess up what did you do?

wow, I have similar problem w/ my IX. After running speaker wire thru grommet w/ a wire hanger the pass side window will not go up. It will only go down. Motor is fine, I can raise it with reversed polarity. And I can't control pass window at all from the master driver switch!!! I replaced the pwr window relay and still not working!
