Unhappy have I been screwed?

well, so I bought a silver evo 8 from dealer in jersey on wednesday...now i came from drivin a lancer oz rally, so when i test drove it, I was mesmorized by the speed and power...yesterday, my bro comes by and says, I think your car was hit... i've ran carfax reports and what not, and everything comes back clean, however when you do really look at the trunk you can clearly see like double the gap space between trunk and rear panel on the left side, also when running your fingers under the tailight and bumper at the corner, you can feel clearly where its not flush.

so I went to the dealer with my brother yesterday, this one guy was trying to say some bs like it has to be "adjusted"....which didn't make sense, and another guy, the sales manager, said he clearly saw what we were talking about....but to come in today and speak to the GM, which can make the differnece.

what do you guys think?..now I did look at a few on the lot, and the trunk gap was perfectly even on both ends and a tight fit and lights were flush.

I would personally take it to a shop that I would trust to evaluate the car.

the can also test the paint thickness to see if the parts were repainted, stock is 5 mils, also look and see if you have invisible footprints on each part of the car check them to see if the VINs match up....they are little tages with the VIN number just for reasons like this

basically they trying to say they run carfax reports, and they dont accept damaged vehicles...now this is a reputable big dealer, so i'm hoping if anything just for a bit of compensation.....cut me a check, give me some free brakes/tires something!!....not sure legally if i can do anything, or returning the vehicle and going to another dealer

Could be the previous owner "returned the car back to stock" and replaced a CF trunk with the stocker, and just didn't line it up that well.

I believe the dealership has to disclose with the buyer if the dealership knows that an accident has happened to the car.

yea, most of the time when the car has been in an accident ppl fix it on the side instead of claiming it with insurance, this is why i might not appear in the carfax report

Just look at the bolts to see if it has any scratches or paint cracks. If it is, you'll know its been messed with.

Also my tail lights aren't 100% flush from the factory...
