Changed Oil, now boost is back to normal

I own an IX MR, completly stock. 13,500 miles on engine

Pre oil change: I had issues with boost. I didnt have a boost leak.
I would peak at 1.15-1.2ish bar(3000 RPM) for a fraction of a second
It would then quickly fall down to 1.1 bar (3300 RPM)
From there it slowly tapers down to ,8-,9 once it gets to redline, sometimes .7 bar and stay at .7 from 5,000 rpm-redline.

The car seemed very "rough" engine wise. When I drove the car during a cold start, the engine would shutter around alot after changing gears and what not.
3500 miles came on the odometer and it was time for oil change. This time, I decided to do it myself instead of taking it to get serviced (I was short on time during last oil change). Oil used: Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 10w30 (recomended oil). I thought the car was just acting up in general, never occured to me the oil was responsible for boost issues, until I changed the oil and noticed a huge difference in the feel/actions of the car.

Post Oil Change:
Boost now peaks at 1.3 Bar and stays there till 4,000 RPM.
Starts to taper down to 1.2 bar between 4,000-4,500 RPM.
Rises back up to 1.3 bar from 4,500-6,000 RPM
Tapers back down to 1.2ish at redline.

The whole car seems extreemy smooth now. Mostly from the way the engine is acting now. Its acting very calmish and smooth. In cold starts, the car isnt hesitant at all anymore, and almost gave the car a sort of more luxurious feel (smoother, less rough/harsh) compaired to pre-oil change.

The conclusion I have came up with is when I got my previous oil change, the mechanic who did the oil change didn't use synthetic? From my noobish knowledge, non synthetic oils have more impurities than full synthetic oils? Im probably wrong someone correct me if I am. What could have the issue been causing my car to act pre oil change? Any damage possible from using non synthetic oil in the car for 3,500?

The oil has absolutely nothing to do with boost. And using non syn oil wont hurt your engine.

only thing I can think of is either too much oil, or way to heavy, or both even.

No relation between oil and boost, unless you're out of oil or oil pressure.

Help a noob out. Could you possibly post a link explaining the idea of oil pressure, what it does, and all that good stuff.

From now on just use synthetic oil's, if you use synth for a long time or vice versa and switch, engine seals will start leaking. Obviously synthetic is the stuff you want, I use Royal Purple and my car makes the "O" face after every oil change.

Something else changed when you changed / had the oil changed. There is no relation between boost and oil anything. The only thing that could ever theoretically happen is low grade oil having a negative effect on the cooling of the turbo over a long, long period of time.
