Adjust trunk alignment...

Question: just noticed the other day that the right rear corner of my trunk (closest to the rear wiper and glass) does not line up flush with the rear quarter panel. On the contrary, the left side lines up fine. I don't have a picture to show, but when looking at it, the right corner seems to be pushed down a little... it seems it's about 1.5-2mm lower than the ridge line of the quarter panel. Because of this, when you open the trunk, that corner rubs slightly against the rear windshield corner and side molding. I don't know if it was bent like that from the factory, or if this is something I can adjust by shimming the trunk mounts? Suggestions? Perhaps just let the dealer worry about it?

P.S. Car is new, no accidents.. so I'm guessing shoddy work from the factory, or they slapped on a trunk with a slightly warped corner.

You can always adjust it by loosening the bolts holding the trunk lid and moving it.

That would only offer lateral movement.. the right edge corner on my trunk however seems to be lower than the left edge corner, making it out of flush with the right rear quarter panel. I guess I'd have to bend that corner.
