i am sure you could do that and just put like a ruber gasket under the middle leg so it wouldnt scratch then you wouldnt have to drill a third whole

This info is from 2003. I searched on this forum but couldn't find any definitive proof that a regular Lancer trunk lid will fit on my 2005 Evo. Can anybody say for sure?

The parts guy at my local Mitsu dealer says the trunk lids are NOT interchangeable between the Evo and the regular Lancer. He says the geometry is different.

I'm looking for some real proof so I know who to believe. I would love to hear from anyone who has actually put a Lancer trunk lid on an Evo.

The 03 lancer trunks fit on the evo. The 04 and later do not.

I can't say with any certainty whether or not 02 and earlier lancer trunks fit.

So does the 03 Lancer trunk lid fit on ANY Evo, or just an 03 Evo?

Also would love to hear from any other guys who have actually installed a Lancer trunk lid on an Evo. What year Lancer lid and what year Evo? Did it fit with no trouble?

03 Lancer fits any Evo, no trouble. You could also search for an RS trunk.

They fit perfectly. I had a 02 Lancer LBP trunk on my 03 TB Evo for months, it fit perfect, and even the color matched.

I will look for an 03 Lancer trunk lid (and of course an Evo RS lid) since you say it fits.

So we know the 03 Lancer trunk fits, but does anyone know for sure if an 04 or 05 Lancer trunk lid will or will not fit on my 05 Evo?

Thanks again guys.

Dude, the 04 and later lancer trunks do not fit. For crying out loud, go look at a picture of the 04 lancer and it's obvious.

How many ways do you need to answer the same question, and how many ways does it need to be answered?
