u can sum it up by saying if i u want a nice looking sports car which is slower keep the 350 and put some rims and a drop if u havent already. the nismo coilovers are so nice.

if u get the evo u will love the speed but the obvioulsy the 350 is the clear winner in the looks dept.

thats ok if u like the looks of the evo better for people reading this but be real. thats not to say some gold 18s and a drop on the evo with tint doesnt look nice either.

just decide if u want the easier cheaper speed or not

I'm stationed here at Japan, dont worry, I will be coming back to states in a year or 2.

Where are you getting your information? Where have you been hiding, come out and see for yourself. The new HR engine is 80% different from previous models, totally redesigned.

Here is a stock time and vid for 07 HR. I'm telling you they are not slow, just more expensive to mod.

And you can get a brand new one for under 28k, base model with standart HID.

To make significant power gains on the Z, you have to go forced induction. So ~$7k on the turbo kit. But that does jump you from ~240-250whp to 400-500whp. It'd be advisable to build the motor too

On the Evo, you can go from 250whp to ~350whp with bolt-ons, cams, retune, etc. More than that, time for a turbo upgrade.

The thing that the Evo will have that the Z never will is AWD. Conversely, the thing the Z will have that the Evo never will is displacement. A 500whp Z will have a much fatter powerband with tons more low-end (below 4.5k rpms or so) that a 500whp Evo ever do. That's just displacement, no getting around it.

If you're going to dump a butt-load of money on the car, and don't need much practicality, I'd go for the Z. If you need it to be practical or just stay with bolt-on upgrades, well, the Evo is the only option.
Finally non bias opinion. People just dont see TT Zs around a lot and most of them dont know what it's capable of when turboed, it's just a crap load of money.

I was going to ask when the 350z got so fast stock, running in the mid 13's? Good to know it was just misread. The best I pulled with my 350z stock was 14.36.

It's running 13.3's stock now (which will improve). The VQ35HR is a vast improvement over the VQ35DE.

are there times that you whish you bought a different car other than an evo. Preferably a luxury car since the evo has no convienence or comfort at all?

Evo owners didn't buy the Evo for Luxury. When I was car shopping I was looking for the fastest STOCK car between $25,000 to $35,000, And it came down to the STI and the EVO. In all categories Evo came out on top, by just a little bit though, But still faster. The fastest was the EVO the Slowest was the RX8.
