350z To Evo
Not here in the states.........all Female drivers, from the teenie bopper to the grandma with the money who told the salesman "I'm looking for something that makes me blend with all the other young girls"
thats what i was running with mine stock (06touring), again if you want to make the Z faster from stock you need to spend a lot more money on a turbo kit... at least thats the way that i see things, the evo is faster stock then a stock Z, if you modify the Z it will be faster then a stock evo, but modify the evo aswell and im sure the evo will be faster... am i wrong?
My evo is way faster than my 350z was! It handles way better too! Both of the interiors are very cheap looking. The Evo is way easier and less expensive to mod for HP. My gas mileage was about the same. The 350z appeals to a much larger crowd whereas the Evo appeals to mainly car enthusiasts (mostly younger ones 14-35yrs old). Both are nice cars but you get much more trunk space in the evo plus it's a 4 door.

Wow, that's good for rev up Z. I didnt no they were that fast. Yep, basic bolt ons dont do much, you have to slap a supercharger or a twin turbo on it ( Damn thing is too expensive) to make a big difference. Nope, you are not wrong.
The exhaust that I wanted on Z was around 1200 bucks and it would make what, 7-9 HP? For that much money you could get Evo to blow past Z
lol yeah i payed about 1400 for mine (hks Hipower true dual) badass catback and they said it was the best and with more hp gain, i think about ~12 im not sure
Yeah it'll eat the EVO if it's stock... Obviously you really don't know what you're talking about because I think a built up 3065 EVO could give that TT 350 a hard time, put a bigger turbo like a 35R, 37R, 40, or 42 and the damn 350 wouldn't appear in the rear view mirror anymore... oh and one more thing... you can even invite 3 other friends to sit in the EVO while you kick a$$!
Guys.. I meant stock Evo !
maybe in japan the 07 350z runs a 13.3 but in the states the 07 306hp had a to 60 at 5.48 sec and ran a 14.02 1/4 mile Oh and the MSRP is $36,100. THAT SUCKS!
it's not the same, but i went from a z32 twin turbo to the evo. i miss the z but the vehicle was very unstable feeling in the rain. it may have been the crap tires i had on, but still. i was probably making about 300-350 whp with the z, so it was pretty comprable power wise. i do miss the low end from the z, but it was a v6. it ate gas just as much as the evo. it just feels safer with AWD. but the z was fun. it's up to you but i love my evo!
had a G35, it seemed alot quicker in lower rpms (taking off and just flooring it from anywhere)..but the evo i think is a better performance car. I was going to twin turbo my G35 but the guys at Polk Performance told me that those engines are weak to build off of.
If anyone here went from a 350z to an Evo please let me know how different it is. Is the evo that more convient and what does the z have that the evo does not. Also is it cheaper to maintain and are you happy with the Evo.
FYI: I want to know before i sell or trade in my Z for an EVO. and please dont be bias.

I had an '03 Le Mans Sunset Base 350Z 6MT. Loved the car. One of the best looking cars on the road. It has decent power delivery and (if you learn how to drive it) handles good. Before you get confident in what it can do, it feels like a heavy pig going through corners (even though it weighed less than my Evo). Definately not gonna put down the same times at the track, but the '07 Z's are running low 13's stock now (quickest is 13.3) and trapping ~105 (and those times were on f'd up clutches... problem from the factory - clutch pedal getting stuck to the ground) so they're catching up somewhat. Those times were also on 2.0 60's and some spinning in first, so those times will improve as more '07 Z's get out to the track.
The Z has the look and feel of a sports car, which is something you won't get in an Evo.
The Evo has crazy more room than the Z does.
The AWD is awesome in all weather conditions, whereas the Z sucks in rain/snow/sleet/typhoons/etc.
The Evo definately has the advantage in the modding department, but the Z has more potential (3.5 compared to a 2.0)... there's no denying that. The Evo's gonna cost less to mod and show better gains (with bolt-ons), but with a built engine and twins on the Z, it will very much out-perform an Evo (but will cost MUCH more). The Z is not a car for a modder on a budget.
The Evo is much more of an enthusiasts car (as in when you see one, you know the owner is into cars), unlike the Z (which everyone and their grandmoms are driving). Also, there's less Evo's on the road, so it's got more of the rare factor.
Drive an Evo, expect the ricers to pick (or try anyways) on you. Everyone wants a piece of an Evo. With the Z, you'll get less attention in that sense, but more in the sense of it's a damn good looking car.
The Z will get the attention from the ladies... but if you need it for that, you got bigger problems than worrying about what car you want. The attention you'll get from them is gonna be money/possesion-related anyways, and that sucks. You'd rather have a girl hit on you when you're driving an Evo since she'll be the type that's performance-minded (which doesn't and won't happen often).
Though the aftermarket parts are more expensive for the Z, regular maintainence will kill on the Evo. You'll go through more gas, more oil, and generally break more **** since there's more to break. Insurance (for me, anyways) dropped when I traded my Z for my Evo.
If you make the trade, you WILL miss the Z. Trust me... over a year later I still miss mine.
Have you test-driven an Evo yet? You really should. It'll help your decision. Also, test drive the '07 Z. Let me know if you got any more questions.

Also, bolt-on for bolt-on the Z doesn't have **** on an Evo. Hell, when my Evo was stock I ran one of my boys' '06 with almost full bolt-ons and UTEC and he couldn't pull away from me from a 2-4 roll.
