I get good gas mileage in my evo as longs as I stay out of the boost. I get ~19 in town and ~25 mpg on highways.

I got 340 miles out of a tank about three weeks ago. Went to Mid-Ohio and back from Cincinnati, I kept a steady speed between 75 and 80 on the HWY.

Man I got excited the one time I made it to 250 before my gas light came on. Don't think I've ever gone more than 275 although I've always had atleast 1.5-2 gallons left. As for the excessive speed at which the gauge drops after 1/2 a tank, my DSM does the same

I think my best mpg so far is about 23

I usually fill up at about 230 miles. As far as the needle dropping so quickly after it hits half tank that is normal for just about every car. I think it is because whenever you top off your car the needle goes past the full mark and it has to burn off the excess gas before it decreases back to the F.

I know Ive ran the needles far below E a few times. I was in podunk with no gas stations around and I know I got at least 60 more miles out of the tank once the light came on. Definitely a deceiving gauge.

Most I've gotten from a tank is 250ish, but I never drive around for more than 20 miles once the light comes on. If our tanks really hold 14 gallons like it says in the manual, I've calculated that I have 2-2.5 gallons of fuel left when the light comes on, and that's good for 40-50 extra miles. Better safe than sorry, I guess.

Seriously, I tried to ask this question in my own way previously(on a different thread) if anyone new any tunings etc that could help you get better MPG... seems dropping the drag(Aerodynamics) on the car helps?... makes sense. I wonder if wingless people get better mpg... if anyone is interested in buying my White 2006 MR trunk (w/wing) or maybe a mail trade for a wingless one... I'm kinda interested in going wingless... can anyone say what the handling differences are like w/out the wing?

When I drive my tank to the E I fill up ($40) I can only put 12 gallons in, even tho it says 14. I get 200-230 mpg a tank, with some hard pulls every once in a while in there. But my old set up ( see sig) I got crazy mpg. go big turbo!

i average about 240 miles to a tank. that's with aggressive driving habits. i don't think it's too bad. considering the car.

wow, i'm actually kinda suprised. I typically get about 26 miles to the gallon. In fact after a day of auto cross i still got 21 mpg.

And yeah, honda's gas gauge messes with you. I made that mistake when I was 16 and assumed i'd make it further than I thought when i looked at the halfway mark. Same with my Evo. Nothing to worry about.
