You guys with lowered Evos

How the heck do you guys jack up your cars?

I scrape the stock lip a bit if I use Rhino ramps and my floor jack won't clear the front lip even when I drive up on two 2x4s stacked on top of each other.

What is the easiest and most cost effective solution? My car isn't even that low

there was some rhino ramps on sale here a while back where the height was more accomodating for lowered cars...i usually get my oem jack, then use my hydraulic after i get it up a bit...don't use ramps for this reason...

yeah I remember those...they're 200-250 dollars. Total rip off for ramps.

I suppose I could use my factory scissor jack to get it high enough to use the floor jack...not a bad idea but sort of a PITA.

Is this what everyone usually does? I can't believe how low the lip gets with even moderate ride height reduction.

I typically use a lift to raise the car but if I have to use a jack, I lift the car from the sides using a low profile Sears aluminum jack, they typically go for $175 on sale.

i just use a 2 post lift, its easy because the pads are 2 inches off the ground. plus i can stand under the car.

I usually use the low profile jack from the side like t51splbb. I place the pad of the jack under the body seam where the factory scissor jack would go if you were using that.

If I am doing something that requires all 4 wheels off the ground, I do the rear first and jack it up from the middle, put jackstands under the rear control arm pivots, and then go to the front and do that one side at a time.

I jack from the sides with my red, aluminum Craftsman floor jack - from Sears, of course. It barely fits under the sideskirts, and if I jack up one side, I have to make sure I don't go too high, because then I can't get under the other side.

I jack up the sides or from the front with my aluminum floor jack. I'm on Hotchkis springs and it's never been a problem.

i just use 4 jackstands and use a jack to lift the car. that way all 4 wheels are off the ground so i dont have to jack it up after im done with one side.

raceramps or a low profile race jack. I picked up a $75 "race" jack from autozone that works fine for my evo, but I'm only lowered about 3/4"

The ~120 dollar one or the ~200 one? I've heard from many people that those things are pretty flimsy and break after a few uses. How has yours held up?

I use my $80 harbor freight aluminum racing jack. It can go as low as three inches:

i have a decent aluminum jack from jegs.com. pretty good price, it's under their garage equipment section. i was gonna get the craftsman but have heard alot of bad reviews about them so i went with the jegs, had it for about a year, no problems. nice and light too. the craftsman still is pretty heavy cause it's still mostly steel, the jegs is mostly aluminum.
