Regardless of weight I will be getting a JDM rear bumper eventually because I think they look way better but I was curious if there was a significant weight difference between that and the US spec rear bumper? Thanks

not really, but since you will take out the crash beam, it is.

I still wouldn't call it significant weight loss. A crash beam can't weight that much. Plus its stationary weight.

Is it a tough install? Is there a page showing how to remove and install the new bumper? Thanks

thrust me the crash beam is heavy. so withouth that, the car rear is much lighter. Besides that fact that weight is the very end of the car. so probably you want to move your stock battery in the trunk for better weight distrubotion. wich is bad from the beginning and you don't want to ruin it more.

can't be that hard. Some nuts and bolts and screws. Just take your time and don't force anything.

i have the jdm bumper and would say that it's significantly lighter - i compared the weight of both bumpers and the jdm is noticeably lighter when i held them, probably due to the fact that the jdm is stripped of all the insulation/padding that the usdm version has to accommodate the rear crash beam. the crash beam itself is 20+ lbs.

Definitely noticeable. It is also more flexible than the US spec bumper.
