ok Regaurdless of my bad driving, what would be the best thinkg to replace it with, I could just do a stock replacement but Then it would be stock and I would probably just burn it again. What kinda aftermarket clutch would you guys reccomend, I am looking for something that grips fast and has a bit more performance than the stock one, but I don't wanna have use the steering wheel as a brace to push in the clutch. I have drivien a subie with a Exedy twin plate, the pedal pressure livable by all means and it was relatively easy to drive, but if you left off quick it griped well. So I was thinking to just empty my wallot on an Exedy twin plate. I can't afford the carbon one , but i don't need it. So any input on what clutch I should get?

The Exedy Twin disk is a great clutch choice for the Evo. With the way you abused the stocker its a great choice for you. What did you do to break the motor mount? Did you happen to hit something?

Wow...you must launch it at every light on the street. I would start saving for new tires too. If you already need a clutch and motor mounts, then your tires must look more like racing slicks. These tires aren't cheap. Good luck!

IDK It just ripped, I felt the car jerking so I lifted it up and took a look at the mount, sure enough it was torn. By now its complete torn all the way arround. But I never got around to replacing it I just stoped driving it hard for a while but I burnt the clutch Trying to keep the ride somewhat smooth and from further damaging the car. So now I screwed myself. Even if I had to money to pick up the clutch right now I can't put it in, I'm all tied up with a Sr20det swap and Its getting annoying because I also had to make th 240 manual from auto. So after I am done with that I will have money for the Clutch which is about 1500, I almost did a back flip when I saw how much they cost. I think I will be alot more careful with the new clutch . Anyone done a clutch yet, how hard is it? Someone at another shop was telling me it took him 3 days to complete, but it can't be that bad?

I was looking into an Exedy organic clutch for about $500.
It's a direct replacement but I don't think it's a high tq replacement.
If you do many clutch drops your clutch will not last..especially with our stock clutch.

I have 16k miles on my 06, stock clutch and it still grabs perfectly fine but it does chatter just a bit in cold mornings.
BTW, I had a 03 with 40k miles and it still had stock clutch before I sold it.

Our clutch is not bad but...it's not too good

I've yet to do a clutch replacement on the Evo, but from what I have read, its a royal pain the ***. I have done many clutches on alot of cars (including AWD DSM's), but the Evo clutch install definitely scares me. You don't want to skimp on the clutch, a twin disk is a very good choice.

The stock front lower mount mount sucks. First off the hole is a lot bigger than the bolt going through it. I upgraded to the agency power motor mount with the delrin bushing and couldn't be happier. Sure, there is a little more vibration at idle, but its the power of the car you're feeling anyways. Maybe you should upgrade to this mount after you upgdade your clutch. I have over 10,000 miles on my stock clutch and it seems like brand new.

Well if your concerned about your factory warranty i'd say get the stock clutch. Same with the motor mount.

Good Luck.
