Starting off on the wrong foot there buddy. I'd highly suggest you start off by doing your first oil change at .. maybe 1000 - although some will say even sooner - at from there ever 3k. At MOST, first after break in period, and stick to your manuals severe maint' schedule. This is just for starters, I'm sure more info is on the way. And congrats' on your new Evo :-)

Post pics!

Dont mess with the exhaust silencer. It creates too much back pressure which is bad for the turbo. I tried an exhaust silencer, thinking like you did, but it was a bad idea. The turbo sounded like a chain saw, and there was so much lag it wasn't even funny. The car was like driving a civic, no power at all. I really hope that using it for the short time I did, didn't do any long term damage.

no silencer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....it will sound like a tea kettle and negate the purpose of why you brought the exhaust in the first place...PERFORMANCE!

Which silencer did you have? Just curious.

I would run the oil for 500 miles, t-case and trans for a 1000, and rear for 2000...or just beat the **** of it for 500 miles and change them like I did

I had the Perrin silencer, for my perrin exhaust, but it was a bad idea trying to use the silencer, if defeats the whole point of opening up the air flow because it creates a bottle neck right at the end.

It looks like you don't have the rear wing.

Thats because no one is sensible while using the Silencer. Your suppose to avoid WOT situations. The Silencer is for DD use and not for spirited driving. Depending on ur location it can be the difference from a fix it ticket.

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
I have that cat-back. For long trips it can get annoying...and the gf thinks its too loud (ya like there is such a thing as "too loud")

Get this:

I have this Active Tail Silencer. Its sping loaded so under boost it opens up from tiny to not that bad. Sure you lose power...but this at least limits power loss. And it sounds stock when its in. At WOT it is quite inside the car, but loud if you are following.
