Seatbelt stuck! At track! Need Help!!!!

I am at the track right now and my seatbelts are stuck. I have never driven the car on the road. I just bought the car and it had been in a minor accident and the airbags went off. Does any one know how I can get my seat belts to release?? Please help!

Some cars have a explosive charge that goes off with the
air bags,in the seat belt mechanism. The seat belt needs to be
changed out.Iwould be willing to bet is is very expensive and sould done by
someone who is trained to service them.If you have to you can cut it
so you can get home

sounds like your car has some sort of failure to the seatbelt.
in a accidents the air bags do go on but you still can unbuckle out of your seatbelt so i would think its his belt is having a BOO BOO.

Funny, but I was never stuck in the car. The seat belt just wouldn't release so that I could buckle it.

That is a good point and I think that this is what happened. The seatbelts were plugged into something and when I took the seatbelt off, I could hear things rattling around. BTW, seatbelts aren't that hard to do and you can do them yourself.

They are supposed to do that in an accident, so if the airbags deployed they definitely wound themselves tight.

You most likely have to replace them from how I can see the system works.

If you are very mechanically inclinded, you can take them apart and release them, but the charge will of course be gone. You will also need to rewind the spring by hand.

Thanks for the helpful information. I really appreciate it and I will take them apart and and see if I can remove the charge. Hopefully no internal damage was done.
