CEL came on

CEL came on soon after putting in Shell gasoline. Has anyone heard of this happening before? This is the first time I have used this gas and it happened right after I filled up. The car feels very sluggish now.

Check your gas cap to ensure it is on correctly. You have to hear it click to ensure it is closed all the way. If that's what it was it will go off by itself after a while or you could always go to an autoparts store and have them check it with their OBD scanner.

Why ask people something they can't answer? Go buy a OBD-II scanner. My Actron obd-II pocketscan works great cost $50.

I think Auto-Zone will read/clear it for free.

Other than what all the others said about the gas cap...it may just be one of those coincidence things.....i really doubt its the gas. Over here in NY thats one of the best brands too. Def check out the code.

It's probably a cylinder misfire or your fuel injectors.
