Have you rotated your tires properly? You may be in for new tires if you're able to do that stock.

My tires are in pretty good shape... it's just something the car has always had, although I've recently been spoiled by other cars that "came into my life" So now the torque steer is more noticable. Only on hard acceleration in 1st, really...

I am running Advan Neova's 255/17's all around.

I don't even get torque steer with 360+ wtq on the same size tires.

The Evo kicks butt as a daily driver! Who wants to be driving a $100K+ car all the time? Plus people start acting stupid when they see the GT3 Of course they do that when they see the Evo too.... must be the big wing thing.

Oh yeah, I got a ticket in the GT3 for "not signalling a right turn" ... attracts stupid attention from cops too!

That's craziness. What's wrong with me/my car? You have to get at least a little??? Maybe my ACD doesn't transfer the power to the rears as fast as your car?? I am always in 'tarmac' mode....

Thanks,

I think what happened is that I just adjusted my driving style.... I have anticipated the torque steer and subconsciously compensated for it. It was only after several days of not driving it, then hopping back in, and then getting on it pretty hard from a roll, that I really noticed. And it was the first time I was ever annoyed by the car!

Yes, good problems to have. The Evo is the best car I've ever owned, all-around, overall.

Torque steer is not a front-to-rear thing, it's a side-to-side thing, so the ACD isn't an issue. It's what happens on a FWD car like this where boost hits suddenly, and the steering wheel goes back and forth. It used to happen on my FWD Eclipse GS-T with 300+ whp. I can't imagine it happening on a stock Evo.
