i have an aftermarket cobra alarm with the car so i use that fob to lock/unlock car. however its still using the red sticker unlock switch, the fronts unlock but not the rears.

so basically normally i would unlock the car from the fob, jump in the front and if needed rear doors opened id hit the solenoid button on the dash and doors popped open (one for each door)

i can hear and see the solenoid and handle lever working but i cant really see whats going on with the unlock rod due to the bit of steel round the inside of the door card which covers this area.

the unlock rod is certainly not doing what its meant to though, it isnt clicking into unlock state no matter what i do, child lock on or off.

iv even tried disconnecting the batt and all electrics going to the door and tried opening from inside but still no luck.

this is really getting me now spent hours on it

i had to help my brother in law with a simular issue but on his eclipe... can you get the door panel off with the doors closed??? if you can check and see if the popper is off track... the one i was working on basically was actuating but not pushing enought to push the door open... almost like it was working 50%... i bypassed it to get the door open and redid the setup then no problems for 2 years....

don't know if this helped but please post somemore pics please....

my recaro's recline forward,

the work was done by a local garage however the specialist who carried out door de handling and poppers has left so they dont know anything about it now.

the door card is off one of the doors, managed to litterally wedge it out with force, didnt damage it thank god, i can see that the solenoid is doing what it should be and even manually with foce it wont go any further

the problem lies in the lock/unlock switch, it simply wont turn or click into unlock position ( red sticker)

Having the same issue with front pass door. I have the door card off already b4 it got stuck. Everything seems to be working properly. The lever that is connected to the inside handle moves like it should. The actuator has a cover that comes off and exposes all of the levers/latches and like I said, they all seem to be working fine. I even drilled a hole through the bottom of the A - pillar even with the locking latch to try and pry the latch up but no luck.
It's like whatever connects the locking latch to the latch on the outside of the actuator isn't functioning. This is a friend's Evo, but neither of us can figure out how to get it unlocked or even remove the actuator. The only way I know of removing it is with the door open.
