Every year the warranty thing comes up. This will be the third MOD event Mitsu has done out here. If there was warranty voiding going on, the event wouldn't lived beyond the first one in '05. Cover what you want, but the "warranty police" will not be there. And, as long as folks behave, the real police won't have any reason to hassle.

Then what's with everyone screaming bloody murder about warranty voiding, if even Mitsu's not going to have warranty police at their own "MOD" event? With half the stories floating around here about Mitsu voiding your warranty for buying an aftermarket air freshener, it seems odd they'd hold an event as large as this one, and have that many people turn up.

My first post was meant to be a mix of sarcasm, with a dash of real curiosity, and a sprinkle of WTFBBQ are some of you guys blathering on about...

 

ionno but ill be there for sure...... last years was siick and this year is gonna be even more INSAME!!! no cops were at the last year event and no one got tickets... last year tha meet up was at SUPER AUTOBAC (West Minster) in the morning and then 30+ evos left together to go to MOD-06 and can i say there were pretty darn fast so i cant miss that again.. haha cant wait!!

 

I wasn't aiming for your post directly. I don't want to go too far OT here, but I was trying to reassure folks that the warranty thing is not an issue @ MOD. Yes, the handling of warranties has been FAR from consistent or good by the HQ or many of the Dealers. But on this particular day, it should not be a worry.

I dunno. If you watch the video from Mitsubishi's website, they show only modified cars. 100's of people with there hoods open and asking them questions about there car. It's probably some idiot who kept blowing off that got his warranty voided. Do what you gotta do, but make it out!!!

 

Paranoia will destroy yuh!

What kind of freebies do they usually give away at one of these things? Anything good?

 

In the past they've given away a goodie bag to each car and some raffle items.
