Broken bolt on hotside
exhaust bolts break all the time.. i had a guy just cut the bolt out and leave like a u shaped cut...

then just use a proper bolt and nut.. it worked for the 6 months he had it on his car with out a problem.. then he just got a better turbo..

Finally got mine taken out and replace today. I just paid some pro to do it. He had to drill it out because he couldn't extract it with the extractor. He drilled it out and got it rethread.
Now I can move on.

I drilled mine out (but then again I am an aircraft mech) and believe me. It was tough. I have high dollar sheetmetal drills and unlimited bits. It took me the better part of 8 hours to drill w/o damaging. Even then, I boogered up the top 2-3 threads.
