thinking of trading my evo 8 for the 9!

I was thinking the past couple of weeks of trading my 05 evo 8 for the 06 9! I know the 9 takes mods better than the 8. good decision?

I was thinking the same thing, but it's not very feasible. Owing more money, higher payments, higher insurance rate just for a few more hp just isn't very feasible to me.

If you have the doe then go ahead.

If you had a 03 or 04 I would say go for it. I had an 03 and did it and was the best move I made. I got very very lucky and they gave me a hell of a trade in price and matched SC prices so I was very happy and couldn't refuse the offer. Since you have the hotside and acd keep yours. With the money you would save your 05 will be fast

I think having an 03-04 is all the more reason to keep yours if modding is your goal. The VIII will be paid off alot sooner and think of how fast you could make it then.

If your looking for a better car with basic mods and have extra cash get the IX

It's 2007. Perhaps the guy has a 2003? Ever take such things into consideration prior to posting?

If you have no problems with the difference in price, go for it. But then again, you have an '05, which isn't too far behind the '06 in terms of peak power. So you just have to ask yourself, is it worth the money to have a better front end, smoked headlights and taillights, MIVEC, slightly lighter wheels (if you don't have an MR), slightly nicer interior, and better response to modifications (even though the VIIIs are already far more responsive than most other cars)? It's up to you.
