ACD Lights (all 3)
ACD Lights (all 3)
I have a question for u guys. i searched and there isnt much info on this so i figured i would just ask. My battery died fri night as i have a ETS mini battey kit. Tom got me a new battery yesterday and i put it in everything looked golden to me. Then after i got in my car and start to drive it to make sure everything was ok . My ACD light was on Tarmac as usual and then with in a mile all three light came on. They werent flashing they just came on. I drove home and disconnected the battery and then reconnected and the same thing happened again. With in a few mins of driving all light came on again. I called mitsu and they said disconnect the battery and i was like i tried that. They told me i can come in and they can scan it for $94 bucks and then they can tell me whats wrong with it. The thing from keeping from the dealership as soon as they see my car they are going to void my warranty which isn't a big deal but i just want to see if there isnt anything i can do before going to the deal.
Any help and ideas would be great as i dont want to go to the dealer. but just want to know if anyone has any ideas as to what to check.
thanks so much if anyone has a suggestions

check your ACD fluid level(drivers side near headlight underhood with red fluid)in the resevoir, and you could try bleeding the ACD. usually when all 3 light up it needs to be bled. sesrch on here for ACD bleed and it should come up.
Autozone does not have the equipment to communicate with the ACD computer, they can only check OBD codes.
I have heard of others with a mini battery also having this problem. I believe they mixed it by unplugging the battery as you have already done. Try it one more time and see if that works. If not you can always try topping off your ACD fluid and bleeding the ACD also.

If it doesn't come back after resetting the battery (pulling -neg terminal), then they will have to scan with the MUT tool. If the MUT tool is pulling a Pxx82 or something along those lines they need to replace the ACD pump system which is around $1200-1500 dollars.
but how can this just happen nothing was being used when it happened? it was jsut sitting in the driveway. is bleeding the acd hard? what would cause it to get air in the system? can u just unplug the acd? what would that do?

Try the battery one more time, this time after you take off the terminals, hold your foot on the brake for about 10-15 sec, it lets all the power drain out of your electrical. Should work after you do this. There is no reason there is anything actually messed up with acd pump or unit itself try this I bet you it works.
if none of this works can i drive the car with the acd lights on? again they are not flash they are just all lit up. can i drive it? dealer is like 25 miles away. im going to try all these suggestions first. thanks for help. for the guy that said he has heard about this with mini batteries what was there deals? any suggestions or resolutions to those?
