New Hallman Pro MBC installed

I just installed this MBC last night. This is my first experience with something like this.

Now the car builds boost really fast . it also makes a swooshing sound every time i take my foot off the gas or get off boost. Is this normal?

Thanks for your help.

If all you did is install a MBC, I wouldn't think the car would sound any different. I don't recall mine sounding different.

I did have to cap the turbo nipple, two boost solenoid nipples, and spliced into the intake manifold boost line.

Do you have the same MBC?

If he is making more boost, then yeah, things are going to sound a little different.

Btw, on my turbo Miata, by bypassing the cars stock EBC, & using a MBC instead, I built boost faster than with the stock piece.

You should really use the nipple on the turbo instead of splicing into the intake manifold line.

By capping the turbo nipple you mean the nipple on the LICP? I assume yes and as these boys have said, you really want to run off that LICP nipple and not the BOV to intake mani as some will tell you to do. Will it work? Sure. Will you get partial throttle flutter (especially in 5th gear)? Yep. And also you will have about 10 possible leak points between your turbo and your MBC rather than just one (turbo to licp).

Also nothing will sound different at say 22psi than it did at 19psi....lol
