Well I just got done installing my 10.5 hotside which took care of the big exhaust leak that I had. . Now I just went out and drove it and it felt really good and really smooth, up until 12psi. It start detonating and felt really slugish. No check engine light or anything though. . any ideas? I have Ngk bpr7es gapped to .26 that are about 2 weeks old. .

2 weeks ago I installed new mani, o2 housing, hallman mbc, and FP wastegate because my stock wg went bad. Today I finished installing my 10.5 hotside. (its been like this ever since the stock wg went out) All I can think of is maybe I should get some iridium plugs and new wires. . . any ideas?

Do you have stock wires? You should reverse the parts you added, and see if it goes away, if it does, you know what the problem is. Try to reset the battery. Is the pill still in the lines??? You are supposed to remove a pill when you install a MBC. Did you do that?

switch to new spark plugs... that should resolve your problem... so it just goes up to a certain rpm say like 3000 rpm then it just stops goin?

Your gap might be too big. Try 22-24 gaps, and see if that helps. You might be getting "Spark blow out" with a large gap.

Unless you are logging the car, how do you know it's detonation?

You don't hear detonation out of the exhaust. That's one of the weirdest things I've heard anyone say.

You hear detonation directly from the motor.
The factory has some significant knock retard capability and I'd doubt youd get the car to the point where you were pinging loud enough for you to hear it out of your exhaust.

How about a datalog and a modification of your map?

No, once I hit almost 13psi it starts cutting out really bad so I let off. . The mbc has the pill taken out. And this was happening with my 9.8 hotside which is why I bought the 10.5 (A stud broke off in the 9.8 hotside causing a big exhaust leak between mani and hotside. Thats what I thought the problem was)
