hey guys quick question. i got the buschur bullet catback. ive heard it with a cat and ive heard it with a resonator test pipe. resonator pipe makes huge sound difference. do you guys think it would be louder if i just put a regular 3 inch pipe instead of the cat and the resonator test pipe.

it would definetly put some flames out with my 30r setup wouldnt it...............i kinda dont like that cause ive had it on a couple of my cars and the results were not very good

 

the test pipe made a huge difference in loudness right? a resonator usually just changes the exhaust tone note, not really muffling it. so replacing it with 3" pipe might not make a big difference. but i havent had any experience with it so im not exactly sure

 

yeah ive seen people run the testpipe and then a resonator farther back on the exhaust the tone is nicer but with a open dumptube omg that **** is loud. good thing here in az cops really dont care

 

i have run a test pipe in place of the cat, and have a resonator further down stream right before the muffler. It sounds VERY deep, and has a lot of bass, but it is not overly loud at all while cruising (doesn't drone), but does get a little loud when at WOT.

 

yep... it will be easily louder cause less restriction

Might just be me but I rode around for a week with my cat still in after my catback was installed.I then took the cat off and used 3" Test pipe.I noticed little to no difference in sound.

 

i did that too, but once i got my downpipe it was instantly much louder, but i live in tx and no one cares

 

yeah i already had a downpipe so the sound was way different.

 

Yes I run just straight pipe with a muffler and that **** is loud as F%$&

 

but you dont get any backfiring that way

 

they're inherently louder without resonators, It will be more of a "raw" sound.
