DO NOT USE THE NOTCHES on the side rails to jack up your car people. Use a floor jack and a small wooden piece of 2x4 to jack your car up from any of these points:

I've been using the above jackpoints (circled in red) from day one, and my underbody looks pristine. no folded over pieces of sheet metal, and no dents. There is an area on the frame, right behind the wheels to fit a piece of wood, use this to jack each side of the car up, and NOT the thin piece of sheet metal with the notches (duh ).

good idea....as for jack stands i usually put them at nodes ( where different componets meet up) for example the back of the front a-arm on the bolt where it bolts to the frame.

I made the mistake of jacking my car up on the center rectangle bars in the middle of the undercarrige and the jack buckled in alittle from the weight.

They aren't really sensitive...there are just a lot of little kids who get their parents to buy these cars for them, and then they try to modify these cars and have no earthly idea what they are doing.
