It bolts near the B pillar and the back of the rear seat (assuming you're looking at the 4 point). Someone on here has it, do a search in the evo forum for "autopower".

Decided to get some other parts instead of 1.2k on harnesses and harness bar. I figure id rather have more power, and be able to have friends in the back seat to feel it haha

EBAY makes a great harness bar at much less cost than GSC or Sparco. It comes primered, 10$ in spray paint can make it any color you wish.

A bar is a bar, imo. For less than 200 shipped its well worth it.

I wouldnt reccomend back seat passengers though.

I removed theold belts completley and the only problem is the SRS light comes on, but if you don't remove stock belts completley the damn seatbelt beep will go on forever. I will eventually ground out the sensor for the SRS light it's just too hot right now. I got my stuff from JRP but i dont recommend them. they took forever and sent me the wrong color harnesses then gave me the run around about why. Butim very happy now that there in. And yes you can add a camera to the bar, sparco sells one i think but i also saw one on Machevo i think. Good hunting and drive safe!
So you removed your seatbelts?

That cant be legal...

Theres a plug under the drivers seat that connects to the seat belt. If you unplug that then it stops beeping....

Cheers!

FWIW I made a camera mount for my harness bar that cost less than 4 bucks from Home Depot. A simple U-bolt hold's my camera.

That's a good way to go for a fixed mount.

The I/O Port camera mount is 3-axis adjustable with a professional-grade head so is better for folks who like to change views between runs. . .

Nothing demonstrates how intelligent and mature you are than by losing your cool when more experienced members are trying to give you valuable advice and resorting to the use of profanity to express yourself properly.

I guess you view your car a lot differently when you have to pay for it all yourself and earn your place in the evo community.

But more back to the topic, I have to agree that unless you’re looking for the name, just get any bar to be it, or just go with an integrated one, its much cheaper and since all those parts are necessary to work with each other, you might as well just get them all built together.

I understand the safety concerns here with running the bar/harnesses w/o a cage.I however would probably do it anyway too.Knock on wood but I cant remember the last time I flipped my car over and crushed in the roof driving. Also Id make sure that rear passengers I never have in my car were always belted in.I guess Id have to see an instance where someones harnesses and bar killed a human to take this matter as seriously as you guys. That or I have too much confidence in my ability to be a responsible daily driver.Im shy of 23 and have been in 3 accidents by the way 1 in which I was driving and got T-boned.

Actually i find the "uptightness" quite funny
I agree with you, ask a simple question and get the f*cking 3rd degree
Like its an everyday thing to have a roll over or people don’t die in cars without a harness bar

Anyways...I think the M1 harness bar is pretty good, you should go check it out
and I always have people in the rear with my harness bar....If i get hit or any of my friends get hurt or die in the rear...tuff sh*t, life goes on

Now I have a question to everyone that seems to care about safety so much.
What would you say if the front passenger die and everyone in the rear seats live because of the harness bar was there..."like a side impact"

My friends got the ebay harness bar. The lady who makes em is here in San Diego, shes really cool, she allowed local pickup, and it was only $120 bucks. It looks really good, almost exact with the Sparco bar, some small differences but nothing really noticable. Powder coating shops wanted like 100-140 for a good job, he used spray paint on the harness bar, and his harness bar/paint actually adhered to the leather recaro, so I definatley reccomend having it powder coated if you choose the ebay one...

actually, the harness bars are bolted into place, they aren't welded, so in the event of a side impact, one thats hard enough to kill the front passenger or even the driver, the harness bar will most likely have already come loose and hit someone in the process.

Cause if you think about it, the sparco bar is held in place by two bolts on either end and a supportung rod and smaller bolt on the bottom. The smaller rod holding the bar upright is freemoving, its there to keep the bar from moving up and down. So the majority of the force will go to the main bar. And since the overall bar is stronger than the point of contact that is holding it in place, the bar will either be: intact or close to it, and the force will transfer straight to the other side of the car... and buckle there or at the impact side... or worse yet, it could stay on on both ends, and unless the impact happens to distribute the force right down the centerline of the point of contact, and correct me if i'm wrong, but wouldn't it create a moment? and twist the left and right side of the car..? (<= wait that only applies if the bar doesn't buckle under the force of impact first..)

or... haha what if you're harness bar goes out and kills the other driver or their passenger once it comes loose from its mounting point... that'll be a difficult one to handle... though almost impossible...
