HELP EGT Sensor Stuck
Hey guys, anyone have any good methods of getting an EGT sensor probe out of its home ? lol.
I have a defi imperial EGT gauge and sensor installed. My sensor is stuck in my DP. I've got the end part off that tightens the sensor in place, but i cant get the sensor out of the hole. I havent tried brute force and ignorance yet, I'm hoping i can save the sensor since they seem to be expensive everywhere i have looked. I think the cheapest i have found them is 150. I tried taking out the adapter that comes with the sensor (1/8th NPT male to male) but the nut on that is stripped.
Any ideas or tricks would be appreciated.

ill try that... that was the brute force and ignorance chapter i was hoping not to get involved in... but in the end, it always works lol
Tighten it a bit first. Hopefully that'll break it loose.
Spray with PB blaster.
Other than that you're going to have to go with the ignorant route.
There are a lot of ignorant mechanics out there...and they haven't all been fired. As long as the job is done, it's done.
